Some good news for a change
Eliana is doing better!!!!!!!!!
We talked to the adoption agency today. After no news yesterday and not even a cursory email today, we called the agency this afternoon. They actually called one of their employees in Guatemala while we were on the phone, asked our questions, and even got some answers!
All the info they could give was unofficial and should be received with a little caution as we still do not have the doctor's report. However, they said she is doing better (hooray!), should be released from the hospital this week (hooray!), and that her condition is "not as complicated as originally thought" (hooray!). Hooray!
They couldn't really give a diagnosis or anything without the doctors report, but whatever the problem is sounds much less scary at this point than it did 1 week ago. They say we won't receive a written report from the doctor until next week; they will forward it to us as soon as they get it.
Matt and I both feel so much better this evening. There were times over the past 12 days when we were truly preparing ourselves for the worst scenarios. Thank God for good news!

Hooray!
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, everyone has been so wonderful. It means a lot to Jenny and me to have such wonderful friends and family. Please continue to pray for Eliana, it seems to be working! Also, remember my brother Mike and our dear friends Tim, Suzy and Camille. Thanks again.
Matt
