Happy...

Happy National Adoption Awareness Day!
How did you celebrate?
This afternoon we went to a holiday party given by the agency that did our homestudy. We made a special guest appearance as *The Man in Red and his wife*. It was lots of fun. The kids were really excited to see us. We had our pictures taken with everyone and gave out some small pre-Christmas presents. Good time. Can't wait til next year when we can go as guests with our baby!
Tonight I celebrated this fine day by writing a nasty letter to our local radio station. I have been hearing one of their hosts make some awful comments about Angelina Jolie adopting children from other countries. He has made such nice suggestions as 'if she wants kinds she should shoot them out of her own v@g1n@' as well as criticizing her from 'stealing children' from other countries. I thought that today would be the perfect day to tell him just what an ignorant jerk he is.
As usual, everything we've done today has been with thoughts of Eliana in our hearts. I keep thinking how different everything will be when she's with us. EVERYTHING. We went to the Christmas parade last night and I just kept wondering what she would think of the lights, the sirens, the clowns..... I can't wait!
Scmupdate Friday, yet again. No news. And we had to send an email to even get any acknowledgement at all. I'm starting to get mad again. No, just frustrated. We haven't had any medical update in over a month. When your baby is still the size of a newborn at 5 months, I think we have a right to be concerned over lack of medical info! I am planning to call next wek and try to get some answers.
For now, I hear some hot chocolate calling my name............

I can't believe they said, what a-holes. I get infuriated when I hear things like that and have to cool down or else I will do something stupid.

I'm looking forward to hearing Eliana's update.

You are a Momma now - and It does change everything - it has changed you already! Eliana is a lucky baby girl to have you as her Momma - You stand up for adoption and your baby girl - - Just like any good Momma would!

IT's amazing how much they do change our lives in every single way. And they aren't even hear yet. Wow--I really had no idea. Hang in there-I know it's frustrating. YOu have every right to feel exactly the way you do.

I hope you get a med. update soon. Good for you on taking a stand with the DJ. Will you share the letter you wrote? I would love to see what you put in there.

I'm glad that you wrote the radio station. It has been grating on my nerves something fierce. I never really imagined that I would be championing Angelina Jolie and Madonna....but the treatment that they are getting in press is unbelievable. People need to get a life. On a much more pleasant subject, your darling is getting more beautiful by the day (or at least by the picture - who would have thought that possible). Can't wait to see her in person. Talk to you soon. Take care.

good work jenny! i wish people would at least try to educate themselves a little instead of going off on a subject they are clueless about. it's hard sometimes, but we will make it! good night my friend!
