Eliana's first day at the sitter's
and we all survived!
I was feeling a little sad as I left her there, even though it was only for a few hours. Our 'sitter' is actually a good friend of ours, Amanda, who has a 13 month old girl. I'll steal a picture from her blog:

This is Penelope, sure to be Eliana's best pal
Amanda said Eliana did really well today. We really trust Amanda and know that she will be great with Eliana. It made it a lot easier for me to leave her there, knowing she was in good hands.
Television on = baby zoned out
So, as far as napping goes, we are just trying for consistency, now. She goes to sleep pretty well at night so we're using that same technique (soft music, rocking, same room) for daytime naps, too. I'm thinking that if we regularly do that and tighten up the schedule a little that her napping will improve ..... and by 'improve' I really mean 'lengthen' so that this Momma can get something done around the house!

Jenny-we have that same onsie! ;o)
Glad Eliana will have a best bud to play with! And praying she becomes the world's best napper! :)
So great to have good friends to help out!! I can relate to the napping! My son was No Nap Nicolai!! I'm praying that she longs for long naps!
Glad you all survived - it has to be hard!
She is really changing growing:)
Julia:)
So glad things are working out with the sitter. And I hope things work out with those naps! Boy, do I have stories about Kennedy's napping history, but I won't share because I don't want to scare you ;)
Eliana is growing like crazy! Just beautiful!
I'm glad you got through the first day of a sitter. Had to be much harder on momma!
And yes, I bet with some time and patience, the napping will fall in place. I swore I would never be a schedule-happy mom, but boy do babies thrive on consistency and a schedule.
Wow, she has hair and she is gorwing so nicely! Amazing what happens when you bring them HOME ;)
