Sorry for the Delay.

Sorry for the delay. I hadn't received much news, and forgot the password to the Smith blog. but here is what i have straight from those who are in Ethiopia.

From Katie on 3/31:
Jenny asked me to send a quick note to let everyone know that we all is well here in Addis Ababa. We are 7 hours ahead of you now and making phone calls has been very difficult--Margaret, Jenny was especially sad to miss you on Saturday, and wanted you know!

Checking email is tough as well, as since we've arrived Jenny & Matt have been going non-stop, meeting the girls, playing with the girls, going on the family visit away from the guest house overnight, and as I write they are at the Embassy with Eldana & Abigia making everything official! Hooray!

Eliana fans, have no fear, the little one is doing SO well. She was amazing on the 20 hour plane process, and even though she and I have been hanging out a lot without her mommy and daddy, she has been such a trooper. Her little inner clock hasn't quite caught up with the time change, but she's been managing very well.

All of the girls are Konja (beautiful in Amharic) and Eldana & Abigia were so excited to meet everyone. Of course, lots of pictures and stories when the Smith's arrive back home--we appreciate your continued prayers and look forward to our return with the newest Smiths!

love,
Katie

From Jenny on March 31:
Quickly, lest I get kicked off again :
The girls are beautiful. our first meeting was AMAZING. that was saturday.
Sunday we went to meet their father, grandmother, aunt and uncle. That was a very emotional day, but very good. The drive was wonderful... lots of beautiful scenery.
today was our embassy appt to get the girls' visas. that is the last step in the process here. Then they took us out to celebrate with a great Ethiopian dinner that had live music and dancing
Eliana is doing beautifully. Honestly, she could not be better. she loves all of the kids and they all LOVE her.
I am seriously lacking sleep, so am off to bed now. I'll try to write more tomorrow (Tues). No real plans for the day but hang with the girls and play!

Love you all!

From Jenny on April 1:
a great day today!
the girls are staying with us now- they're actually sleeping with Matt right now. It's been a really good day. Can't wait to see you all!
write to me!!!!

From Jenny April 2:
you'd better post soon. I've gotten several comments about your poor guest blogging abilities.

So this is what I have gotten so far. Sorry for the days of nothing. Now I will post something everyday until they are home.

I was going to comment on your slacking in the guest posting arena...but figured I would give you a break since you are a non-blogger and may not know how much we all want to hear how things are going.

WOOHOO!!! So glad the trip seems to be going well. Can't wait for photos when they all return home.

Thanks for the update
