The good, the bad, and the beautiful

The good:

Playdate with Joseph today!

Uncle Pat's home!!!

Not sure what to think about this guy...

'He's kinda goofy Mom'

'OK, I like goofy'

'What's that, Mom? You're wondering how I got over here to look out the window?'

Last time I had looked (12 seconds before this) she was IN the play yard. Ms Escapeartiste has found 2 ways out of the play yard. We need reinforcements.

The bad: Our appt card to get fingerprinted by the feds was lost in the mail. A month ago. Ugh. They are sending out a new appt notice today.

The beautiful:

Check this: a picture of her first 'real' boo-boo. A skinned elbow. Her dad was horrified. Not only did he miss the occasion, but I didn't even kiss it. I'm a bad parent.

I love the look of innocence as she plays with the end of a plugged-in something that I have pulled her away from 15 times ( kind of like now as I repeatedly remove her from the printer, the tower, the garbage, etc.)

Close-up!

E's dad was less than thrilled that I said I was dressing her as a Catholic schoolgirl today.
Look how ridiculous this outfit is! She got many compliments all day today.
I laughed everytime I looked at her.

Studious in her schoolduds

Reading herself a bedtime story.

My heart is heavy today for the orphans in Guatemala and their waiting families. Things look grim. I've emailed everyone I know to email and have a list of folks to call on their behalf tomorrow. We feel so blessed.
Count your blessings tonight and every night.

The pics with Pat are adorable. I didn't know we had a Houdini in the family. The outfit is cute Jenny but I never wore a tie to school. God bless all of those waiting for a child in Guatemala.
