Meatloaf
I blog [in my mind] all day long.
I file away thousands of cute stories, fun descriptions and insightful commentary each day with the intent of sharing it with all of my imaginary friends. But, about every thirty seconds a tornado blows through my [life] brain and those files are scattered about. By the time I get the time to sit down and try to blog I can barely put 2 words together that make sense, let alone relate a story or provoke thoughtful conversation.
Here's a brief summary: Things are good!
Ok, a little more detail: Our biggest trouble these past 2 weeks has been sleep. We don't get enough, Abigia doesn't want any and was throwing a fit for awhile when she suspected we were planning some, and really the logistics of getting 3 kids (vs 1) down for bed is still a bit of a challenge. I keep thinking about when Matt goes back to work (night shift)... how am I going to do this? I still don't know the answer to that. But, things are getting better every day. Or night. Though bedtime still takes way longer than it should, it hasn't provoked screaming for days now and all of the girls are basically sleeping through the night. It really does get easier each day. Here's hoping I don't jinx us by typing that.
We are slowly finding more foods that the girls will eat. Although I suppose they could live on bananas, bread and sweet tea, it's probably not a good idea. So, we have been introducing more foods every day. This will take a long time, I imagine, but we are slowly finding more things that they like. For example, Abigia ate 4 bowls of rice crispies this morning. Add that to the *like* list.
We really just play all day. Mostly. Really.
By the end of this week we had started doing our own laundry and dishes again. Not that there isn't a stack of both waiting for us, but we are actually able to find a little bit of time in the day to get some menial work done. And I feel like I have the mental capacity to try to keep track of things like that, again. I even grocery shopped this week!
I should add here that we have been quite spoiled. While we were in Ethiopia some of our family helped do some cleaning and maintenance at our house. After we came home we have had friends and family bring us some meals and my mom took a week off of work when we returned just to do our laundry, wash our dishes and make trips to the store for us. What a huge help! We are blessed.
Time to sneak in a snack before bedtime for myself! Will try to get back here again soon!

HHEEELLLLLLOO!!!!
How proud it makes me to hear you say you are blessed. Of course you are, but so many people ignore the great gift they are given. Your family is beautiful!
Glad things are falling into place and life is becoming more "normal," whatever that is. What would we do without family? They are amazing!
Glad to hear things are falling into place. :)
