Day 26

It has been 26 days since Eliana was admitted to the hospital. What a rollercoaster ride! Jenny and I have both felt fairly bummed out lately. There is nothing bad going on really, I think we are worn out from the constantly changing emotions. Some days we feel fine, some days we feel angry, some days we have leaky eyes and some days a combination of all three.
I will get you caught up to date. We had been hounding the agency daily for information with not much luck. I finally got fed up when some information arrived at the agency on Thursday that we didn't receive until Tuesday. So I wrote a nasty email. As a result, the agency encouraged us to start contacting one of their Guatemalan employees directly. I think they got sick of us emailing and calling all the time. This was one of the best ideas they have had yet! We really like the contact from Guatemala. We had a chance to meet her earlier in the summer and from the moment we met I had a good feeling about her. She just comes across as being a genuinely good person. She has been very helpful in the past and was able to give us a little more info.
We learned that the baby may be discharged in the next couple days. We are waiting for the social worker from the hospital to ok the discharge. The baby apparently looks really good and has been on bottle feeds, tolerating them well. That's where we stand at this point. I hope it made sense, Jenny is better at this than I am. Thank you for your support and please continue to pray for Eliana. On a side note my brother is doing great!! Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts for him.
