TO VISIT!!!
Yes!!!
As hard as it is to believe, in just 10 days we will be in Guatemala meeting our daughter for the first time!
I will not bother to post about all of the bad, bad, and questionably bad things going on with our agency in the past few days because the thought of going to visit the baby trumps all of their yuckiness.
We booked our flights today. We will leave Aug 31st and return Sept 4th. The baby stays with us, at the hotel, the whole time we are there. Night and day. It will be like Condensed Super-Parenting 101, a crash course in sleepless nights and diaper changing. We can't wait!
We'll be staying at the Marriott in Guatemala City. It sounds like they pretty much cater to American adoptive parents. Everyone there speaks English and is, supposedly, very nice and helpful. They have a pool and 3 restaurants. We are not allowed to leave the hotel grounds with the baby, so will be forced to spend our time snuggling and playing with Eliana. Hooray!!

YAY -- so glad to hear that you guys get to go visit. DH and I agree that visiting Brayden was the best decision we ever made. The Marriott is very nice, and the concierge can get anything you need delivered to the hotel. Have a safe trip and enjoy your time with your sweet little girl. The memories will be worth so much more than you can ever imagine!!! I can't wait to see all the pics :)

Go for it!! Trust God - he is the only one that can see you through the parts of this wait when you and your agency have no say and no control! Eliana is going to feel your love for her and know you are her Momma - trust me on that one!
