Tastefully Simple
Have you all heard of this? Is it everywhere?
It's like Avon or Tupperware, in that you have a consultant who can do parties or you can just call up and order stuff. The thing is, it's all food! And good food. And it's all really easy to make!
The best part? My mom is a consultant. That means I get to try all of the goodies and am a little spoiled by the samples she slides my way.
Tonight we had a Tastefully Simple party here at my house. Mom has offered to do several parties for us this month and is donating what would have been her profits to our adoption fund. Also, any book parties or internet sales that we generate she will donate to us. How generous is that? She is the greatest.
Anyway, our party tonight was a lot of fun! We had some friends and family come and it was just a nice time. We really just sat around and ate and caught up on what's happening in everyone's lives. It was great.
We have another party next week at Mom's house with some other friends and family. I can't wait!
This is the perfect time (I think) for this stuff. With the holidays coming, it is great to have some easy-to-make stuff on hand to whip up to take to parties or have available for guests that drop by. These products can make great gifts, too. I am on a kick right now where I feel like we have too much 'stuff.' The idea of giving gifts that people can use and enjoy (but not clutter up their house) is really appealing to me.
If you're interested, you can purchase some Tastefully Simple products, too! Go to the Tastefully Simple website and check out their products. When you order, put in my mom's consultant ID number - 0032210 and we will get credit for the sale! There's no where on the site to say that it's for a fund-raiser, but Mom knows that all internet sales will be from us this month. So, check it out! Whatever you order will be shipped directly to you. If you have any questions about any of the products, email me! I'd be happy to share what I like and how I use these products.
I know there's a lot going on this month and next. With the holidays coming everyone is counting pennies (me too!) and there are a lot of other worthy sales, raffles and fund-raisers going on. If this is your kind of thing (easy, tasty food) then hopefully you can use this purchase as a way to fulfill some of your needs for the holiday season. If it's not for you, no problem! We just thought we'd let you in on our latest!
Eliana was wonderful through the party. Her little buddy Joseph came over and they played while we ate! She was so tired that she went to bed before the party even broke up. Unfortunately, I was helping out here and there and didn't get the camera out for any pics tonight. Here's one from a few days ago to tide you over til the next post:
I love these shots from above. Please ignore the shadow of my finger in the corner. I'm such a great photographer!

Sounds yummy!
How far will your mom travel for a party? Everything looks great! Good luck!
Share some of your favorite yummy stuff!
My favorites.....
Well, Nana's Apple Cake is my favorite. It comes as a mix and all you have to add is 2 cups of chopped apples and 2 eggs. It tastes great and really feels like a nice, warm fall treat.
The Fiesta Party Dip is the spice bottle I use most. A lot of their dip mixes come in 4.25 oz bottles so you can use as much or as little at a time as you like. I use the Fiesta in all kinds of spicy foods that I make. The dip recipe it recommends just requires sour cream and mayo, but I have a concoction I made up that uses cream cheese and Miracle Whip - yum! Dipped on tortillas it's the best!
Unfortunately, the other thing I like best is their caramel dip. Oh my.... I could eat the whole jar myself. It is really creamy and has a great flavor. Mom served it last night with apples or you can drizzle it over the Nana's Apple Cake. I like it on pretzels.....I bet it wold be good drizzled on popcorn. Really, it's great off of a spoon - I can't imagine what I wouldn't like it on!
Just checked out the website. I will be going back to order.
Thanks Ginger!
i recommend buying a hybrid element or Escape... I know you said no SUV's but the Element is smaller and very roomy and versatile...It's what I want to get next.
I went to a party for the first time a couple of months ago. Yummy. I may have to think about ordering some more stuff so you can get some funds from it :-)
