For those of you wondering how English acquisition is going here is a fine example for you. Sitting around the dining room table, Eldana whispers to me that 'Daddy is a silly super, super, super goose.' She then wants me to tell Daddy what she said. I repeat it, with a smile on my face, word for word. She then adds 'And willy,' in a very serious tone.
Yes, that's right. Our first order of business as new parents was to teach the kids important phrases and words for name-calling others (like their Dad). They not only know the value of the phrases 'silly goose' and 'silly willy', but can use them interchangeably AND , if the situation calls for it, more fully describe the silly person by repetition of the word 'super.'
They have also mastered the word 'scoundrel.'
Geniuses, I tell you.
